Q2 is seeking a Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience who will evaluate and ensure maximum performance and availability is provided from every aspect of the network. This position will be responsible for day to day support, design, installation and maintenance of production environments while preserving excellent communication and documentation skills within a highly secured environment. A successful candidate will possess a proven track record of troubleshooting network issues while maintaining a high level of customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop network solutions and implement within a complex network
  • Evaluate networking technologies, software, systems, and services to develop technical solutions
  • Configure install, maintain network services, equipment and devices
  • Document and communicate all network changes
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues, analyze, debug and diagnose packets and logs
  • Monitor network devices through alerting systems
  • Participate as an individual contributor or as part of a larger team
  • Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings
  • Maintain security in a highly regulated environment
  • Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
  • Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation


EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Experience configuring implementing and administrating network devices
  • Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge of IPSec VPN, TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, Remote Access, Firewall & Load Balancing
  • Knowledge of monitoring and troubleshooting production application networks
  • Experience with Cisco hardware ASA Firewall/VPN, Routers and Switches (required)
  • Experience with Load Balancing solutions - F5, A10, etc.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation
  • Ability to adapt in a fast pass environment and manage multiple ongoing projects with competing deadlines
  • Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly
  • Effectively communicate issues and resolutions to all levels of the organization
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information


Preferred:

  • Cloud Networking Experience - AWS, Azure
  • CCDA
  • CCNA Routing and Switching
  • CCNA Data Center
