Job Description
Dobbs Defense Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our team and help us design, implement, and maintain robust and secure network systems. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our network, enabling our organization to operate seamlessly.
Duties
- Review and analyze the existing network architecture and provide designs of current/modern WAN/MAN/LAN technologies
- Design telecommunications circuit specifications
- Identify the need for routers, switches, and encryption devices to support enterprise services
- Deliver service catalog items for automatically provisioning network configurations to deliver Infrastructure-as -Code
- Develop and maintain network architecture specifications and artifacts
- Cisco experience; proven expertise with Cisco network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, unified communications equipment, VMware environments
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
- At a minimum, must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE)
- Information Assurance Certifications consistent with the 8570 IAT Level Ill
- Professional certification in Cisco, VMware, and/or ITIL is desired
