Job Description
The Network Engineer position is primarily responsible for performing low to medium complexity tasks, under minimal supervision of the Manager, Network Services, to support all LAN/WAN related activities; works with vendors to resolve network performance problems; interfaces between users and Network professionals; supports all the various bank departments and member companies of the bank.

How You'll Spend Your Time
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology/Science and 3-5 years experience in infrastructure/network environments in network operations, support, maintenance and administration or 9-11 years work related experience.
PREFERRED:
Microsoft Certified Engineer or Cisco Certified Network Associate

How You'll Spend Your Time
- You will assist in establishing and implementing LAN/WAN policies, procedures, and standards.
- You will coordinate the development of new LAN/WANs, including evaluating, scheduling, cabling, and installing necessary hardware.
- You will design and configure network elements in accordance with Network engineering standards and documented requirements.
Education & Experience Requirements
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Technology/Science and 3-5 years experience in infrastructure/network environments in network operations, support, maintenance and administration or 9-11 years work related experience.

Microsoft Certified Engineer or Cisco Certified Network Associate
SKILLS :
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of a variety of operating systems including but not limited to Cisco, 3Com
- Thorough knowledge of a cornucopia of software/hardware and the ability to understand new applications and technology with a minimum of prior exposure to the product.
- Thorough knowledge of LAN cabling requirements, specifications, and installation
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of mainframe communications
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of TDM and IP telecommunications.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Possesses customer service attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical ideas in a non-technical way to all levels of employees.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Adheres to company standards and methodology, confidentiality and security requirements and consistently demonstrates a high level of integrity and professionalism.
