Network Engineer
Job Description
Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Network Engineer to join our pack and support the Navy Forge. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive support in the design, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of network systems and associated equipment. This position is located in College Park, MD. Main responsibilities also include, but are not limited to:
- Architecting, installing, testing, and sustaining secure network assets to include wired and wireless networks.
- Troubleshooting system problems and recommending improvements to the network.
- Providing documentation to track projects and report status to management.
- Providing tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects.
- Assisting with the overall design and installation of new cabling, equipment, and associated hardware and software to extend and enhance network systems.
- Managing and upholding network management systems.
- Physically being on site at College Park in Riverdale, Maryland 75% of the time.
Required Qualifications:
- At least five years of applicable experience in network engineering with experience in a wide variety of network systems.
- Foundational knowledge of network protocols, architectures, and technologies.
- Experience architecting resilient networks
- Experience designing, installing, and operating Wi-Fi networks with certificate based authentication
- Experience with Network Segmentation with vLANs, Subnets, Firewalls, and Software Defined Perimeters
- Experience with PKI
- Experience writing, implementing, and enforcing network policy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- US Citizenship and active Secret clearance
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Kubernetes and Container Networking experience
- Cross-domain solutions experience
- Cisco and Palo Alto Networking Infrastructure experience
This position is located in College Park. MD and the successful candidate will need to report onsite daily.
