Pay range for this position is $120K - $150K DOE.

Job Description:

The Network Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and securing the IT networks for Local Bounti.

Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. •  Using their IT knowledge to develop company networks, coordinating with company leadership to identify network needs.
• Aid employees and other individuals on how to use the network(s) effectively.
• Support company employees and the service desk by resolving incidents and documenting solutions in service desk tickets.
• Patching and hardening hardware and software.
• Monitoring networks for suspicious activity.
• Working with Cybersecurity personnel or companies to monitor logs.
• Configure and support company firewall to keep data and communications protected.
• Design effective network segmentation for security and access control.
• Maintain all company IP addressing and routing.
• Maintaining computer networks, VPNs, routers, switches, and other physical hardware
• Installing and configuring network equipment.
• Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all IT systems.
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management.
• Implementing disaster recovery procedures
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued).
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS).
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.

Education and Experience:

• University degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Palo Alto firewall experience.
• Juniper/Mist switch and wireless access point experience.
• 5 years network installation, configuration, and maintenance experience with large wide area and local area networks.
• Experience with Linux and Windows servers and VMWare would be a plus.
