Network Engineer

This position is part of the One-Euronet Infrastructure Engineering organization, and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid on-site / remote position. The position works in a collaborative environment to architect, develop, and support complex enterprise solutions as they pertain to network and monitoring systems. Essential Functions

• Maintain network equipment - Switches, Routers, Firewalls, VPN, Call Management systems
• Provide operational support in daily tasks pertaining to network and monitoring systems
• Implement changes to configurations and apply security / enhancement to network equipment
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and troubleshoot complex problems.
• Respond and plan for service outages.
• Collaborate with other teams in supporting overall systems as they utilize network systems
• Lead implementations on projects and initiatives supporting network systems

Requirements

• Network Switching / Routing / Firewall / VPN
  • OSI Model and experience with all layers
  • Routing and switching configurations and deployments
  • Firewall configuration (Cisco, F5, FortiGate, or equivalent technologies)
  • VPN configurations (IPSEC, Site-to-Site, DMVPN)
  • Out of band network appliance support (i.e., opengear)
  • LAN / WAN topologies - configurations
  • WIFI - configurations, management and installations
  • SIP / call manager experience
  • Network monitoring systems (i.e., SolarWinds, ICINGA, PRTG)
  • Network troubleshooting via packet captures, trace tools
• Computing and Virtual systems
  • Essential experience and knowledge of Windows Server OS (Current OS - 2019 / 2022)
  • Essential experience and knowledge of Linux Server OS (Current OS - i.e., Redhat, CentOS, Alma)
  • Experience with VMWare and support of network functions
• Hardware
  • Experience in network switch / router / firewall installations
  • Experience in cable installations / patch panels in a data center environment (ethernet, fiber)

Preferred:

• Network automation and system orchestration (i.e., Ansible, Azure-DEVOPS, TerraForm)
• Infrastructure as code (IaC) (i.e., Puppet, Ansible)
• Load balancer configuration (F5 or equivalent technologies)

Education Requirements/Certifications

• Four year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in relevant network administration role
• 3-5 years of experience network switching, routing, firewall and VPN management and configuration job duties
• Highly preferred certifications -- Cisco CCNP, CCNA, or other technology equivalent certification
