Network Engineer

About the Role (Chicago or Houston preferred)

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support Beyond Finance’s ambitious growth. You will provide strategic, innovative, and cost-effective solutions to increase efficiency, reliability, and integration of our services and operations. You will work in a semi-autonomous and fast-paced environment.

What you will do

• Work with technology staff and remote users providing support to secure applications
• Hands on support utilizing network monitoring tools and work with end users to resolve network issues
• Proactive monitoring of network issues, reaching out to end users with potential issues in their network
• Own and maintain routers, switches, APs, VOIP, servers, and telecommunication equipment, both on premise and in the cloud
• Monitor key system metrics to identify trends and analysis
• Ensure solutions are fully documented and in compliance with applicable security requirements
• Manage and maintain ZeroTrust environment
• Leverage ThousandEyes for remote users to provide network assistance, support and troubleshooting
• Use Palo Alto Panorama management tool to deploy changes across the infrastructure
• Support remote sites located in Chicago, Houston, Fort Worth, and San Diego
• Collaborate cross-functionally with IT Support, DevOps, SecOps
• Travel to sites as required for upgrades, maintenance and to manage vendors (10%)

What we look for

• 3 to 5 years of experience of the following technologies in SaaS Infrastructure:
• Cloud architecture/networking in AWS and GCP
• Palo Alto firewalls,PA Panorama management
• Aruba Networks and Cisco Meraki
• CloudFlare ZeroTrust
• History of planning, installing, and maintaining local/wide area networks
• Well versed in IAM, SSO, SAML, LDAP and Radius integrations
• JumpCloud experience a plus
• Any exposure to Rapid 7
