Job Description:
Parsons is now hiring for a Network Engineer to suuport our team at IPKeys Power Partners. This position is focused on configuring, testing, and maintaining carrier class routing devices within our critical public safety network infrastructure.
For this role, candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the Tacoma, WA area, and will enjoy a Remote Office work arrangement. Domestic travel up to 30% may also be required.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design, configure, and maintain carrier class routing devices and support equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network solutions meet the specific requirements of our public safety operations.
- Implement network security measures and best practices to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of critical data.
- Perform regular network monitoring, capacity planning, and traffic analysis to ensure optimal network performance.
- Proactively identify and resolve network issues and provide technical support for network-related incidents.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of network configurations to ensure proper functionality.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures
What Required Skills/Experience You'll Bring:
- Four year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer, preferably with a focus on configuring and testing Nokia, Cisco, and Juniper equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF), MPLS, and VLANs.
- Hands-on experience with Nokia (formerly Alcatel-Lucent), Cisco, and Juniper network equipment.
- Familiarity with network security technologies, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
What Desired Skills/Experience You'll Bring:
- Relevant certifications in Nokia, Cisco, or Juniper technologies such as CCNA or JNCIA
- Preferred experience working with public safety or mission-critical networks.
- Experience with MPLS networking.

Salary Range:
$81,500.00 - $142,600.00
