Job Description:
Resource Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field, as determined by theAOC.
- Eight (8) years of CONUS technical experience in IT networking.
- Possess active (i.e., not expired) certification as follows:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Security Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ten (10) years of CONUS technical experience in IT networking.
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field, as determined by theAOC.
- Certifications issued within the last four (4) years as follows:
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Infrastructure or SecurityCertification.
Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security (PCNSE) Certification.
Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) Certification from Palo AltoNetworks.
Resource(s) Skills, Experience, & Capabilities
The resource possessing the following preferred skills, experience and capabilitiesat the mid-expert level:
Proficient with the following:
High Availability in Enterprise
Scalable routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
- Advanced WAN service layers, SDWANs and WAN Optimization applications.
- Current Network Security applications, services and appliances including IdentityManagement, Network Access Control, Application Layer Inspection, Content andMalware Filtering, Data Loss and Intrusion Prevention, zero-day threats, IPsec andSSL VPN, PKI, Two-Factor Authentication and other.
- Network Management Protocols, Applications and Operating System capabilities.
Experience with:
- Layer 2&3 optimization and boundary, virtual switching systems.
- Enterprise Data Center and cloud Networking for Virtualization, SDN, LoadBalancing, storage.
- Zero Trust Network Access and micro-segmentation.
- Enterprise VoIP and physical security environments - access control and videosurveillance network applications.
- Quality-of-Service design and implementation.
- Installation and configuration of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Palo Alto platforms.
- Installation, configuration, securing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless accesssystems.
3. Knowledge of the following:
- Infrastructure Services and experience with IPAM products.
- IP multicast, Enterprise Video conferencing, streaming and on demand components.
Coding languages for scripting.
Familiarity with major server and desktop operating systems and utilities are required.
Sharp troubleshooting, organizational and mentoring skills and ability work independent.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team skills.
