MetroStar Systems is looking for a Network Engineer that is skilled in evaluating and maintaining communication hardware and software in support of process analysis, improvement and reengineering. You're a great fit if you:

• are skilled in troubleshooting LAN/MAN/WAN and other network related problems
• can oversee general LAN / MAN / WAN administration, provides technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks
• oversee network management operational activities
• apply broad professional engineering knowledge and intensive knowledge of automation and sciences to assigned projects and programs
• review, coordinate, and negotiate technical requirements across a wide spectrum of proponent organizations
• interpret, refine, and develop supplemental policy and guidance to implement information management directives in support of the soldier

You'll love our position if you have: (This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit)

• 7 – 10 years of Network Engineer experience
• a bachelor’s degree
• an active Secret clearance
• one of the following: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Juniper Network Certified Associate (JNCIA) Juniper Certified Network Professional (JCNP)
• an IAT Level II certification with a minimum Comp Tia Security +

• can identify and document total systems requirements
• are experienced interpreting, refining, and developing supplemental policy and guidance to implement information management directives

What your day will look like:

• You'll schedule conversions and cutovers
• You’ll provide Information Assurance oversight and management
• You’ll oversee network management operational activities
• You’ll supervise maintenance of systems, and coordinate with all responsible users and sites
