We are growing our IT infrastructure security team and are looking for a Network Engineer - AWS to join our Princeton, NJ or Washington, DC office (with options for a hybrid schedule). This person will audit and assist with the planning and implementation of network and security controls to existing and future cloud environments. Candidates should have prior experience with and have a background in networking and information security.

The successful candidate will need to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, coupled with the ability to multi-task and provide operational support and to work closely with multi-functional teams to resolve critical network incidents.

Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day upkeep of the infrastructure, to include the design and implementation of cloud-based network and security architectures along with recommendations for improvement
  • AWS Cloud configuration and management, some of which can be learned on the job
  • Reviewing and managing all assigned trouble tickets to ensure they are completed within SLA
  • Creating and maintaining documentation related to networking infrastructure components including network diagrams, rack diagrams, and technology data flow diagrams

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer related field, such as programming, computer science, engineering, or other related degree. Equivalent training and work experience may also be taken into consideration
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data networks
  • 3+ years of experience with architectural and network support of Cloud Network Infrastructures and AWS
  • Demonstrable experience with basic routing/switching technologies, wireless, VoIP, VPN, WAN/MPLS/LAN transport technologies, SNMP management
  • Knowledge of network concepts such as LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec, TrustSec)
  • Knowledge of Cloud and Virtualized solutions
  • The ability to troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues with available tools (NAC, Wireshark traces, etc.) Areas of support include:
    • Router/switch command line, Cisco IOS Routing and Switching
    • Wireless controllers
    • Remote access VPN
  • Knowledge of end-to-end network architecture and operations.
  • Experience with the following is not required but is a plus
    • Knowledge of the following AWS areas such as CloudFormation, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Certificate Manager and CloudTrail
    • AWS or Azure certification
    • Experience with IPv6
  • Ability to provide on-call support off-hours including weekends
  • Ability to work occasional weekends to support client requirements
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $75,000 - $100,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
