The Role
We are seeking a Network Engineer that will be responsible for the day to day support of AXS office network environments and venue locations as well as plans and manages the installation, configuration and tuning of all network infrastructure. The Network Engineer will be responsible for building new networks VPC, Security Groups, VPN connectivity etc. in AWS cloud. The Network Engineer also performs a wide variety of technical duties which include, but are not limited to, analysis, design, installation, modification, documentation, maintenance, problem diagnosis and repair of all network related issues in AWS, office and venue locations
Responsibilities
Configure and maintain various network security, WAN, LAN, and wireless networking devices in AXS’s environment using industry best practices to ensure optimum network performance. Â
Architect and implement solutions for switching, routing, wireless and network security using network design best practices to meet business objectives.
Provide advanced support and guidance to the core IT teams. This includes building new networks in AWS, adjusting security groups, configuring transit gateways, VPN connectivity and VPC peering in AWS
Develop and document physical and logical network designs and speak to the nature of the designs to provide management with the details they need for their approval of new network designs and proposed network changes
Oversee assigned projects and produce network designs within the projects budget to complete projects in a timely manner using scheduling guidelines.
Work with various 3rd parties to facilitate, manage and execute any special event IT requirements.
Develop support documentation and document network changes with proper Visio diagrams and spreadsheets to ensure all department documentation is up to date and relevant for internal use.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4-6 years of related work experience
- Strong experience with AWS environments in a professional/company setting
- Experience with CISCO networking, cloud and security solutions
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Information Technology or related field
- Experience with designing, managing and implementing a fully converged network in AWS environment.
- Work effectively either independently or as a team
- Communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to prioritize requests, organize, schedule and coordinate a variety of activities and projects
- Experience configuring Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Controllers using best practices
- Strong experience with routing and NHRP protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and HSRP
- Highly comfortable and capable of troubleshooting complex network issues in an enterprise network environment
- Participate in an on-call rotation, work off-hours or extended hours when needed
Pay scale:
$99,582 - $130,716.15
Bonus:
This position is eligible for bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
