Your Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform layer-2 troubleshooting and administration of IOS, IOS-XE and NX-OS switches.
  • Proactively monitor network devices via network monitoring tools, and Splunk syslog logging.
  • Operate and manage Opengear console server for in-band and out-of-band management.
  • Setup and burn-in network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, network load balancer, and out-of-band console server.
  • Perform inventory of physical and logical network devices, assist with quotes for hardware procurement.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • 3+ years' related experience and/or training; in a network engineer role supporting enterprise grade network infrastructure.
  • Network+ and/or CCNA level certification
  • Have a full understanding of routing, switching, server operating systems, active directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines and software applications
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting various network protocols including VLAN, STP, VTP, ARP, HSRP, TACACS, RADIUS, and basic layer-3 routing.
  • Familiar with Wireshark, and/or tcpdump for packet analysis.
  • Familiar with network monitoring and understanding of SNMPv3, MIBs and OIDs.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Salary Range

$79,562.50 - $123,000.00 USD (Salary)

  • Please note that the salary information provided herein is base pay only (gross); it does not include other forms of compensation which may or may not apply to this specific position, namely, performance-based bonuses, benefits-related payments, or other general incentives - none of which are guaranteed, may be subject to specific eligibility requirements, and are wholly within the discretion of Astreya to remit.
  • Further, the salary information noted above is a range that consists of a minimum and maximum rate of pay for this specific position. Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
