Network Engineer III or IV DOE

The Network Engineer participates in a team environment for the design, installation, upgrade, and maintenance of Cambia's network. This position requires the use of good technical, interpersonal, and administrative skills in performing day to day work.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (5 Years or more of networking administration, engineering or architectural experience can substitute for a college degree.)
- 5 years or more relevant experience in a networking environment, including but not limited to; network administration, network infrastructure planning, design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Must have experience in Cisco network routing and switching design, implementation and administration using the Cisco command line. Experience with Nexus is a must.
- Ability to work with a geographically diverse team, likely work from home with little to no supervision.
- Should have in-depth working knowledge in most of the following technical areas:
- Wide Area Networking using Multi Point Label Switching (MPLS)
- Virtual Private LAN Services (VPLS/WAVE)
- Domain Name Service (DNS) / Dynamic Host Control Protocol (DHCP) administration
- Load Balancers (F5)
- Wireless technology
- Remote Workforce solutions such as RDP and VPN
- Cisco ACI
- Cisco ISE
- Infrastructure as Code experience, tools like Ansible, Tower, Python, AWX
- Traffic monitoring and analytics such as packet capture analysis, with tools such as Wireshark, NetScout, or Splunk.
- B2B IPSec VPN solutions both design and maintenance
- Technical knowledge of popular Internet applications such as cloud-based VoIP solutions and certificate management
- Software Defined Network and SD-WAN
- Routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and Policy Based Routing
- Cable management: ability to wire copper or fiber connected devices in a data center or MDF
- Experience designing and managing complex enterprise networks, understand advanced design principles to secure a heavily regulated network.
- Experience managing large datacenter networks.
- Experience working with geographically diverse locations.
- Must be able to work 24x7 on-call rotation and after-hours.
- Must have personal organization, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to develop positive relationships and effectively communicate with internal customers, coworkers and all levels of management.
- Ability to take direction from others in analyzing and solving network infrastructure issues and problems.
- Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve network & security performance problems or outages.
- Ability to automate network & security infrastructure tasks and document them for others to use.
- Ability to administer, coordinate and facilitate the operation of complex network & security systems hardware, software, and management systems.
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technologies and methodologies and apply them to technological and/or business needs.
- Familiarity with the latest Internet protocols, tools, and conventions used by developers.
