Network Engineer at Zywave

We are looking for a Network Engineer who is well-versed in enterprise-class IT infrastructure focused on Cisco networking to support Zywave SaaS delivery. This person loves to solve problems and accept challenges, understating that change and continual learning are keys to success.

Main Job Duties:

• Primary focus on implementation and support of a Network systems (WAN, LAN, Wireless, FW, IPS)
• Design, implantation and support of load balancing and web Web Application Firewall (WAF) infrastructure.
• Oversee monitoring solutions including SolarWinds, Microsoft SCOM, other 3rd party and internal custom monitoring products.
• Assist with implementation and monitoring of Storage Area Networks.
• Assist with implementation and monitoring of Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, RDP, RRAS and Hyper-V.
• Participate in the design, implementation and integration of a wide range of Cloud and hybrid cloud technologies including Azure, Azure AD, Microsoft Power Platform, Office365 and more.
• Assist with the design, implementation and maintenance of automated procedures to manage Zywave systems using scripting technologies including PowerShell.
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of MFA technologies .
• Improve business processes in coordination with internal Zywave stakeholders; working closely with Zywave Product and Development.
• Innovate IT processes while continually adopting new technology for a fast-paced software-as-a-service company.
• Analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot problems in Zywave systems. Coordinate maintenance with the appropriate support provider or vendor.
• Maintain and upgrade solutions based on enterprise concepts including disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Assist with onboarding and cross-training of others while staying abreast of industry knowledge.
• Document process and procedures as well as troubleshooting techniques to aid in the retention and dissemination of knowledge.
• Provide off-hours support, as needed, to support product updates, equipment upgrades, and address technical issues.

Factors for Success:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science plus at least 4 years of systems design/implementation experience or equivalent combination of education and technical experience.
• Cisco systems administration experience with ideal candidate having CiscoIdentify and Security practical experience. Cisco Certifications preferred.
• Deep Understanding of Layer 2 and 3 IP routing, VLANs and global routing
• technologies
• Experience with container networking on Docker and Kubernetes CNI.
• Experience with Calico container networking is a plus.
• Experience with Rancher Kubernetes deployment and management is a plus.
• Experience with Hyper-V networking.
• Experience with SAN iSCSI networks
• Proven ability to understand and design how different system layers (Application, Container, network and infrastructure) work together and interact.
