Network Intern

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Network Intern. You will work among a team of industry experts within our Digital Modernization sector support the Defense Information Systems Agency in modernizing and consolidation the Defense Agencies and Field Activities Network. As a Network Intern, you will gain valuable experience in network management and support. This internship provides a practical learning environment where you will assist in troubleshooting network issues, configuring network devices, and ensuring network security. Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of network-related issues.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Participate in network security measures and protocols.
• Document network configurations, issues, and solutions.
• Assist with the setup of network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with the IT team to support day-to-day network operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of network protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• US citizenship required.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
