The Network Manager is responsible for the technical architecture and strategic plan related to the Enterprise Network Infrastructure. The capacity of these responsibilities include making decisions that are critical in the areas of throughput analysis, problem solving, infrastructure planning, and incident mitigation. The Network Manager serves as a partner to the business collaborating with other teams to help define how networking can align, support, and enable the business. This individual will effectively exhibit JD Finish Line's core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
- Management and strategic direction of the Finish Line network infrastructure including the initiatives for the store locations, home office and distribution center, and remote office locations.
- Leads the design and operation of the network infrastructure and connectivity including, but not limited to data communications, network reliability, network performance and improvement initiatives.
- Performs Tier III troubleshooting and post incident reviews on production network issues
- Oversees the management and coordination of data cabling installations for stores and HQ location.
- Management of telecommunication services billing including purchase orders, ethernet/broadband/LTE, cabling, hardware and software tools, etc.
- Management and assistance with contract negotiations for Telecommunications and Network services, hardware and software.
- Oversees the management and coordination of the performance monitoring of voice and data networks. Defines appropriate SLAs and ensures proper reporting and tracking to the business.
- Management and coordination of network security and regulatory compliance for JD North America including network security monitoring, auditing, development and deployment of information security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Management of vendor relationships as it relates to contract negotiations, external service /equipment agreements.
- Identify the appropriate goals for the team to achieve enterprise objectives. Participate and lead spring and quarterly planning meetings; report on deliverables and successful completion of planned activities.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and or Technology from a four-year college or university or equivalent Industry work experience. 5 - 7 years of networks and Systems Experience, with at least 3-4 years management experience, to include hiring, coaching, and mentoring. Experience in agile and scrum methods is a plus.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills
Should have basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with Google Workspace. Working knowledge and experience with networking concepts with a preference towards Cisco network products.
