Network Operations Engineer

Group Details

This position assists in the management, maintenance and optimisation of Tradeweb's Global network. The individual collaborates with multiple infrastructure, application and customer-facing teams, troubleshooting and resolving incidents, deploying network infrastructure changes and responding to customer inquiries. This role requires a strong technical background in network operations coupled with effective communication and troubleshooting methodologies.

The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our London office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the London office is recommended for organisational off-sites or onsite visits to London data centres are needed to address network changes.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the configuration, operational support and troubleshooting of Tradeweb's corporate and production network infrastructure and services, including third party connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, WiFi, VPN devices and routing protocols
• Strong routing and switching experience (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Multicast), including the ability to understand complex, multi-tenant environments with multiple business units
• Work with external dealers and internal application support teams to troubleshoot and configure and maintain Dealer connectivity
• Strong knowledge of firewall configurations, provisioning rule changes and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with network automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, YAML-playbooks and Python
• Work with external vendors, third parties, and associated agencies to address issues with peering arrangements and inter-operability issues
• Deploy and stabilize network device operating systems and configurations

Qualifications

• Ideally 7-10 years of experience in Network Engineering, Infrastructure and Operations disciplines
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic engineering, or related disciplines
• Relevant certifications, including CCNP, Checkpoint and Palo and AWS are a plus
• Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol family
• Understanding of data communication, data processing, and telecommunications facilities
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical, organizational, process improvement and problem-solving skills
• Able to multi-task and work under pressure
