Qualifications and Experience:

The Commission’s preferred Network Operations Manager Knowledge, Skills and Abilities include:

1. Ability to design, deploy, and maintain computer networks, to include cloud.

2. Ability to implement network theory concepts.

3. Ability to implement major network communications methods.

4. Ability to complete network implementation, to include remote network implementation.

5. Ability to identify and remediate issues and technologies in network security.

6. Ability to identify network security threats and attacks proactively.

7. Ability to identify the tools, methods, and techniques used in managing a network and to implement tools selected.

8. Ability to troubleshoot issues on a network. 9. Ability to work under pressure and with multiple deadlines 10. Attention to detail and consistency of work outputAbility to develop and implement project plans

12. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing

13. Ability to work independently

14. Ability to conduct efficient primary and secondary technical research online 15. Ability to troubleshoot network hardware and software issues

16. Knowledge of current software / hardware products and technologies

17. Knowledge of virtualization, database, collaboration and messaging technologies

18. Knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls and networking technologies

19. Knowledge of the interactions between servers, operating systems, databases, networks, and storage with the ability to understand how changes in one area affects the others

20. Knowledge of security principals and best practices

21. Technical certifications preferred

22. Familiarity with Microsoft Visio and Excel
