Network Operations Service Area Manager, #460
Clearance: Public Trust (or ability to obtain)
Location:Â Washington, DC
Seeking a manager to lead a team of technical professionals supporting several operational areas of responsibility including Network Operations, Network Security Operations, Routing and Switching, Virtualization Management & Business Continuity, Email and Messaging, Database Management, Local Area Network (LAN) /Wide Area Networks, Server Management, Backup, Recovery, and Archiving, Network Monitoring, Integration Management, Storage Management, Application Management, Data Center Support Services: Capacity, Environment, Cable and Access.
Responsibilities:
Manage data center operations which cover managing site facilities and maintenance, security and surveillance systems, system installations and the overall customer experience
Ensure delivery of services as per client requirements and control cost and manage vendors
Manage the monitoring and maintenance uptime of facilities, the minimizing of breakdowns and maximizing process and system efficiencies (e.g., maintenance and administration of servers/databases/applications/network/non-IT infrastructure)
Manage the planning and administering of hardware equipment, software, and maintenance agreements to maximize integration, compatibility, and continuing operations of systems with minimal disruption
Develop and maintain up- to-date data center access management policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing a complete IT infrastructure engagement (Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3).
Experience with  Managed Services (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, XaaS)
Has managed a program with ~1100 end users of similar size, scale, and complexity
Experience with Concept of Operations Plan and Engineering Strategy, reporting LAN and WAN uptime performance, performing migration support (e.g., planning, environment build, and coordination)
Familiarity with VMware vCenter, ESXi, SolarWinds, Stealth Watch, Cisco ASA 5545 firewalls. HP Blade systems, HP Blade servers, HP ProLiant servers, Cisco UCS, and Dell servers.Microsoft Windows, migrating from Microsoft Exchange 2016 over to M365 SQL backups, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other SQL server related jobs
Required Experience and Education
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience and a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent number of combined years of education or experience.
