Compensation Range
Hourly: $20.15 - $23.55 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)
About This Job
As an IT Network Operations Specialist I, you will monitor Commerce Bank's Data Center and Network Production Environments including Enterprise servers, SNA Network Connectivity, Applications, Servers, Midrange and Tandem and Batch production window.
Essential Functions
- Communicate resolution of problems to Lead III. Ensure appropriate escalation and documentation of incidents that are categorized as a Severity 1, and ensure notifications are sent to the pre-defined list of IT Managers and support personnel. and internal customers.
- Assist in filling out the daily turnover report of the events of the day and be prepared to discuss with the incoming shift supervisor if requested by the Lead III.
- Assist vendor personnel and their actions while they are on site
- Participate in recovery tests by performing documented recovery steps. Monitor UPS, AC, generators, Fire Suppression Systems, and other related infrastructures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Basic knowledge of banking business processes with emphasis on critical applications and how they interrelate
- Basic knowledge of emergency processes and procedures
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associate's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of large-scale data center and application monitoring support experience required
