Job Description
Working for the Network Product Line (NPL), the Network Operations (NetOps) Senior Engineer is accountable for driving NetOps engineering transformational initiatives to accelerate JPMC's networking strategy.
NPL provides connectivity for clients across the firm as well as the millions of customers external to JPMC. These days many types of devices are network connected, from the typical servers and desktops to light bulbs and temperature sensors. It is our group's responsibility to ensure that all such people and devices connect together smoothly, enabling the transport and sharing of data. NPL is responsible for the architecture, design, plan, build, deployment and operations of JPMC's worldwide communications network.
A key member of our NPL NetOps Leadership Team, you will have primary accountability for the delivery of NetOps engineering transformational initiatives. You will operate as the primary interface between the line of business clients we serve and NPL including Product Owners, Product Engineers, Architecture & Engineering and Network Security.
JPMC is driving a Cloud First strategy and, as a result, this is a critical role for enabling the modernization of NetOps. The successful candidate will have experience of driving public cloud NetOps strategy, ideally in a financial markets environment.
A strong communicator, you will ensure our clients awareness of the NetOps transformation strategies, actively supporting them in leveraging NPL offerings to delivery competitive advantage through new functionality or reduced cost. Similarly you will look to deepen the awareness that your NPL partners.

Qualifications
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Information Technology or other related discipline
- 15 or more years in IT management experience, the majority of which should be in a Technology role within the financial services sector
- Strong influencing skills and a good track record of collaboration in a matrix organization
- Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated Executive presence. Adept at communicating technical concepts to senior business stakeholders
- Advanced knowledge of governance constructs with proven expertise in oversighting the management and delivery of a large and complex portfolio of technology products and services
- Strong awareness of Product Management, IT Service Management, Project Management, Business Architecture and Process re-engineering concepts. Certifications in disciplines would be an advantage
- Mature and proven strategic thinking, planning and implementation skills
- Deep experience in Customer Success gained in either similar roles internal to large Corporates or through working with a third party service provider
- Solid financial management with a proven track record in the management of multi-million dollar budgets. Experience in revenue management would be an advantage
- Experience in large-scale multinational corporations and organizations Technology ecosystem
- Experience of delivering public cloud strategy, ideally in financial markets
- Solid understanding of the public cloud capabilities of AWS, GCP or Azure
- Ideally, experience of Terraform, Sentinel, Jira, Jira Align, Confluence, etc.
- A strong understanding of IT risk management, compliance and technology controls. Proven regulatory management skills
- Knowledge of Business and Technology resilience, incident response and crisis management
- A proven people leader with experience in managing large multi-national, remote teams
