Network Security Engineer

This position will support Silotech Group's Managed Service Provider team.

Essential Role and Responsibilities

You will participate in designing and building security solutions, like configuring firewalls. In addition, you will secure all aspects of network, systems, and data, applications, etc. You will also test new security protocols and tools. Lastly you will respond to intrusion incidents and security breaks. They are a culture that embraces change, values family and are actively involved with the community. The team consists of people with positive attitudes who have an interest in growing their knowledge around technology and leaders that are heavily involved in the day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science

Experience

Required

• Vulnerability Scans and Assessments
• Past Risk assessment experience
• Experience with servers and networking as related to firewall design.
• Network Monitoring
• Policies and Plans Development

Desired

• Experience with SIEM technologies
• Experience supporting Channel and/or MSSP Partners
• SaaS experience preferred (AWS, Azure, Office 365, Cisco Umbrella)
• Network IDS Experience (Suricata, Snort, Bro, etc.)
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Understanding in the administration of Windows and Linux systems with a thorough understanding of network security.
• Highly motivated self-starter who does not need day-to-day management
• Hardware and Software troubleshooting skills
• Strong Collaborator, team focused
• Cloud Experience is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in high-availability, fast-paced environments.
• Strong customer service focus and experience with end users.
