Job Summary

The Director, Network Services is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership and guidance in developing and coordinating all network and voice strategies and solutions for the ADCS enterprise infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, mobility, voice, third-party network management and business conferencing solutions. The Director develops, implements, and manages strategic business relationships with technology vendors and suppliers, internal and external business partners, and collaborates with senior IT management and other key stakeholders to establish goals and define strategy and objectives. The Director is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting enterprise network and voice services for the data centers and spanning over 7 remote locations.

Job Description

Essential Job Functions
  • Oversee Network & Voice functions and supervise managers and staff. Build organizational talent by creating a learning environment that ensures employees realize their highest potential. Develop and communicate organizational objectives; inspire and motivate team members to achieve results.
  • Develop strategy, policy and service delivery objectives, and best practices for the ADCS voice, network and data infrastructure solutions and services. Drive coordination of Network strategic planning processes and development, and ensure alignment with broader ADCS strategic objectives and operational business plans.
  • Create and execute tactical planning for network engineering and architecture.
  • Collaborate with Information Technology & Operations leadership team to develop and implement comprehensive operational policies and processes specific to LAN/WAN, mobility, voice, third-party network management and business conferencing support.
  • Develop and execute operational and capital budgets for the Network and Voice functions.
  • Build/maintain carrier relationships to monitor and enforce service level agreements for all ADCS data network and telecommunications service contracts.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current trends and developments and provide guidance and counsel to IT&O senior management and business groups on network and voice technologies and issues to build better solutions that support and drive business decisions.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:

Normal office environment, some travel may be required.

Direct Reports:

3-5 direct reports, 15+ indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related Technology field, or equivalent work experience.

CCNA, CCIE, PCNSA, PCNSE, or related certifications desired.

Years of Work Experience Required
  • 15+ years' experience with design, integration, and deployment of networks.
  • 8-10 years leadership experience building cross-organizational consensus with exposure to technology providers and/or business clients.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry. (e.g. Healthcare, Banking, & Financial Services)
  • Demonstrated experience in telecommunication systems management, including the development and implementation of telecommunication systems, networks, and support services.
  • Experience with voice technologies & services in a large call center environment including VoIP/SBC/SIP trunking, PSTN, e911, etc.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, DNS, Network Access Control, Meraki/Cisco wireless technologies
  • Experience with Cloud Network Services that are directly consumable by application developers as a self-service product e.g. VPC, DNS Records, Network Acceleration, B2B connectivity, etc, and foundational network services used to deploy and lifecycle manage shared network infrastructure e.g. direct connectivity, transit gateway, DNS, network observability, etc
  • Experience with next generation firewalls, IDP/IDS
  • Large-scale deployment and management of national carrier networks and solutions.
