Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Network Specialist L2 you are expected to work on all type of L3 technologies – RIP OSPF EIGRP ISIS (advanced) BGP L3 technology troubleshooting.
You will need to visit the domestic client’s offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Good knowledge in L3 technologies – RIP OSPF EIGRP ISIS (advanced) BGP L3 technology troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge in L2 technologies & understanding – VLAN’s trunking VTP Ether channelling STP’s RSTP MSTP and TCP UDP and IP.
• Working experience in Juniper Routing and Switching devices
• Good understanding of security infrastructure like Firewalls IPS IPSEC/SSL VPNs
• Knowledge and exposure of Passive infrastructure like Structured LAN Cabling Patch Panels etc.
• Exposure of MPLS Connectivity and IPV4 & IPV6 addressing
• Platform Skillset (either or all of) – MX960 MX480 MX240 MX104 EX4500 EX4300 EX4600 & EX4200 (Configuration & troubleshooting) both hardware and software
• Ability to execute incident problem request change and release management as per ITIL Frame work
• Troubleshooting experience using finisar wireshark or other Protocol Analyzers Syslog Analyzers etc and RCA preparation

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Min 5-6 years of experience
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication.
• Must be willing to learn new technologies while being able to adapt to a fast pace service driven environment. to work days evenings and weekends as required; 24×7 support.
• Willing to work to provide 24×7 support and travel for customer calls as and when required.
• Demonstrate high-level of maturity and confidentiality.
• Attention to detail and interpersonal skills
• Key involvement with cross-functional teams to resolve major customer issues.
• Need to take network problem complaints from the users analyzes them and depending on the difficulty of the problem either seeks help or solves them himself.
• Coordinate with OEM and network equipment vendors to ensure current hardware and software features. Manage and update network diagrams update as when changes takes place.
• Provide hands on technical support analysis and issue resolution for network infrastructure and network services.
• Ability to function effectively in ambiguous circumstances.
• Juniper JNCIS-SP certified
