There are some positions at MVP where your work may require an onsite or community component. When working in an MVP office and/or in the community on behalf of MVP, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, and have received the first booster dose within one month of eligibility.

Professional, Network Relationship Management team member is responsible for supporting strategic partnerships (e.g., with Health Systems) that will help MVP reach its strategic goals to grow and serve customers better.

Location; hybrid with preference to Schenectady, NY, will consider hybrid out of Fishkill, Rochester, Tarrytown, NY locations or Burlington, VT.

The role will
  • Manage logistics of relationship governance: prepare and coordinate agendas, materials (e.g., slides) and documentation to support governance meetings, prioritization and decision making
  • Generate Executive level summaries of issues, conversations, or decisions and reports of health of initiatives, project communication plans
  • Support planning and development efforts to propel relationships forward, including by developing, tasking, and overseeing project plan milestones and budgets
  • Coordinate and liaise with cross-functional teams (Strat-X) to enable execution and delivery of multiple strategic objectives for the organization
  • Request necessary data analytics from Informatics to support key business objectives
  • Have enough confidence and charisma to engage internal and external stakeholders during meetings, in preparing materials, and through contracting
  • Requires financial understanding necessary to convert high level terms into contractual arrangements
  • Performs other duties as assigned, handling frequent requests from Network Strategy leadership
  • Perform retrospectives and engage in process improvements as we seek to grow and hone our skillset as a team
  • Be an enterprise level thinker, capable of pioneering continuous improvement across the organization

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, health care administration, or related field. Master's Degree preferred


Minimum Experience:
  • Two years' professional experience in a health-related environment or in program management, business development or account management role
  • Prior experience with leading/facilitating cross-functional teams
  • Capable of working with high-performance work teams with demonstrated ability to coordinate resources and goals across multiple related priority initiatives
  • Demonstrated experiencing working with or presenting to executives
  • Experience developing and monitoring delivery of efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Exhibited skills in leading or supporting program development efforts involving strategy development, contracting, provider engagement and implementation
  • Business development skills with negotiation and provider contracting experience preferred
  • Organizationally savvy, understanding of the political climate of provider systems and business enterprises and how to navigate obstacles and politics

  • Knowledge of existing, emerging, and new methodologies and being able to practically apply them to new business designs and business models
  • Use the language of business leaders and join the conversation that's taking place
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize, identify stakeholders, determine resources needed to meet objectives and solve problems that involve remote and elusive symptoms, often spanning multiple environments
  • Ability to navigate and work collaboratively with other MVP internal stakeholders
  • Must have reliable transportation, willing to travel occasionally throughout MVP's service areas, with occasional overnights as required
  • Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, PowerBI, Microsoft Project, and Teams
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and follow through
