Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to articulate technical issues to individuals from non-technical backgrounds and collaborate effectively with system administrators and IT support.

• Possess skills for installing and configuring network components and operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, Unix and macOS.

• Skilled in the management and administration of VMware ESXi and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.

• Proficiency in scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash to automate and streamline workflows.

• Manage Active Directory and Group Policy administration by supervising the Active Directory infrastructure and making necessary adjustments to Group Policies.

• Assess PCs/ laptops, hardware and software of the network, servers, and other devices to identify potential issues.

• Experience with Microsoft's SCCM or MECM for software management and deployment.

• Diagnose problems within the Windows and Virtual Machine environments to ensure continuous operation of servers and network equipment.

• Experience in managing internal monitoring tools like Nagios XI and SolarWinds, as well as overseeing external monitoring using Site24x7.

• Proficiency in vulnerability scanning tools, such as Rapid7, and remediation strategies.

• Manage security compliance, including the implementation and maintenance of security measures to ensure adherence to SOC2 and ISO 27001 standards.

• Keep abreast of new network technologies to suggest improvements to network systems and infrastructure.

• Proficient in networking protocols, including but not limited to TCP/IP, DNS, FTP, SMTP, and others.

• Conversant with network management and network ecosystem.

• Offer assistance and support for Azure Cloud administration.

Requirements:

• Degree with a major in Computer/Information Science preferred.

• In-depth knowledge of laptop hardware and software components.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Ability to working effectively in a team environment.

• Good communication skills.

• Exceptional planning, time management, and excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines.

• Ability to establish good working relationships with clients.
