Network & Systems Administrator

About the Role

MetroSys is seeking a Network & Systems Administrator to provide fractional IT support for one of our clients. This role is ideal for a versatile IT professional with strong experience in patch management vulnerability management systems/network troubleshooting and Tier 2 help desk support .

The candidate will work closely with the clients existing IT team to ensure secure stable and optimized operations while providing direct support for escalated technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patch management and routine system updates across servers endpoints and network devices.

• Conduct vulnerability management assessments and assist in remediation planning.

• Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues escalated beyond Tier 1 support.

• Provide Tier 2 help desk support including Windows OS applications and connectivity issues.

• Assist with documentation and reporting related to IT operations patching and vulnerabilities.

• Collaborate with the clients IT team to ensure IT processes align with security best practices.

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in systems and network administration .

• Hands-on experience with Windows Server Active Directory patching tools and vulnerability management platforms .

• Solid troubleshooting skills across network and systems infrastructure .

• Experience providing Tier 2 end-user support in a professional environment.

• Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (PCI HIPAA NIST) is a plus.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently in a fractional remote capacity .
