Network Systems Engineer

The Gogo Business Aviation Network Systems Engineer will be responsible for sustaining and ensuring systems and services are performing at optimal levels. With an emphasis on advanced end-to-end network and service level optimization and troubleshooting, you will make meaningful contributions to the quality of our service and satisfaction of our customers! You will join a diverse team of engineers providing industry leading services to Business Aviation customers!

How will you make a difference?

• Enhance systems and services while working collaboratively with other engineering teams
• Provide advanced levels of escalated support and lead complex investigations
• Maintain, analyze, and further enhance performance metrics
• Interface with business and development teams supporting product enhancement initiatives
• Ensure highly available services by regularly testing scenarios and exercising systems
• Conduct training, provide support resources, enable operational teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years' experience managing highly available services and systems - preferably in a service provider setting
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Required Skills, Experience and Talents

• Solid experience working with Cisco routers, switches, UCS, Nexus, IOS
• Strong understanding of VPN tunnels, access lists, network optimization, and DPI traffic shaping techniques
• Experience capturing and reviewing packets to identify network problems
• Has worked in Linux OS at administrative level
• Skilled with Docker containers, Kubernetes and Jenkins automations
• Can troubleshoot cloud-native core NFs - AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, PCF, UDM, AAA, MME

Preferred Sills, Experience and Talents

• Cisco Certified Network Professional level certification or equivalent work experience preferred
• Familiarity with relevant 3GPP specifications
• Possess strong BASH or Python scripting skills
• Experience querying common databases and working with large datasets
• Be able to effectively interface and support all levels, internally and externally
• Function well and enjoy being a member of a broadly focused technical team

Base Pay:
96,000.00 - 120,000.00 USD Annual
Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:
Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
