Network Team Lead

The successful candidate will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. You must be able to inspire, lead and manage a team from a tech and people perspective.

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work from our customer's Dublin office at least twice per week.

Required skills:

• 3+ years’ experience as network manager 
• Experience implementing, managing and delivering within SLAs 
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware 
• Experience troubleshooting network devices 
• Experience in working in a multi-partner environment 
• Experience in growing a team of network talent 
• Ability to engage with a wide range of customers and experience levels 

Key responsibilities & duties include:  

• Managing the outcomes of the network engineer and technical delivery engineers 
• Manage vendor and partner relationships 
• Work closely with the architecture team and Network Lead on designs, budgets and framework 
• Ensure SLA’s and OLA’s are met and reported to the business 
• Represent Networks on operational boards 
• Team and talent development 
• Supporting delivery and operation where necessary 
• Maintain continuity, capacity and compliance 

Desirable skills:

• Network certification (e.g., CCNA/JNCIA/CCNP) advantageous 
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware 
• Ability to communicate effectively at different levels  
• Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems 
• Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection 
• Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources 
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organisation 
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment 
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Dependable and flexible when necessary 
• Experience on Network security, LAN and WAN  
• Network Engineering or Delivery experience 
• Commercial experience 
• Experience in team development and training 
• Experience in regulated environments and critical infrastructure environments 
• Experience in Hybrid Cloud and Network Automation
