BWX Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Network Voice Engineer for its Lynchburg, VA location!

We are seeking a Network Voice Engineer to join BWXT's innovative and growing IT Infrastructure team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the enterprise network infrastructure for BWXT with a focus at our Lynchburg Mt. Athos facilities. Candidates must be self-motivated, demonstrate excellent multitasking skills, and should be comfortable working in a large, high security, manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Supporting the overall Cisco Call Manager environment for MACDs, patching, and troubleshooting
• Configuration and support of Webex and MS Teams collaboration (i.e. Meetings, video, and calling)
• Leading the patching and asset management of all voice/video equipment on multiple networks
• Monitoring and logging of call quality issues and outages
• Providing evening and weekend support and maintenance, as well as travel to sites as required
• Maintaining documentation of network closets and cable plant at the Lynchburg facility
• Working closely with other network infrastructure engineers to evaluate current and new technology.
• Collaborating with IT Infrastructure, Cyber and Application teams to configure and troubleshoot the network voice infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 1-2 years of voice experience in a professional environment with 3 years of overall IT experience
• Knowledgeable of voice technologies such as SIP, PRI, POTs, Voice Gateways, Soft Phones, and Fax
• MS Teams voice/video experience, or Cisco CUCM/Webex, along with conference room design and support
• Basic network switch knowledge and experience, preferably Cisco switches
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI stack and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills are required
• Familiarity dealing with multiple sites and end user support/help desk
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills are essential
• A strong desire to learn and take on new challenges for self-development and to help to contribute to operations at a higher level
• Ability to obtain a DOE security clearance required
• Ability to report to work at an assigned office location. This position does not include a remote work option.
