Rockwell Automation's is looking for someone to join our global events technology team. The Networking & Events Technology Specialist position will become an integral part of our global events team in Milwaukee WI. If you're interested in technology-related topics like; virtual machines, deploying networks, programming languages, and emerging technologies we want to hear from you!
We have a Hybrid Flexible Work Schedule. This position reports to the Global Event Engineering Manager and is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Networking & Events Technology Specialist position will become an integral part of our global events team in Milwaukee WI. We have a Hybrid Flexible Work Schedule. This position reports to the Global Event Engineering Manager and is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deploying Network Switches and Routers in a medium business environment using Cisco products, preferred someone with CCNA or equivalent experience with designing and deploying networks
- Create virtual machines - by supporting the configuration, deployment and troubleshooting in a cloud or local environment
- Experience with creating computer images, duplicating and deploying computers, and managing the overall server / function of computer duplicating software
KEY ABILITES AND ATTRIBUTES:
- Think quickly and resolve issues in a high paced stressful atmosphere
- Strong collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to explain complicated technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Collaborate with various teams at Rockwell Automation to collect information
- Must be able to complete projects with minimal supervision with a specific budget amount
- Research, setup, and deploy new technologies and innovations associated with a conference / tradeshow environment
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors' degree or Equivalent related experience or associated IT certifications- CCNA, etc.
- Driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- If located in the US, legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Typically requires 2+ years of Network setup, designing and deploying networks administration, and networking hardware experience
- Typically requires 2+ years of IT experience supporting users / systems in a business environment
- Knowledge of Windows Operating systems (windows 7/ 10 / Server versions) and VMware / Microsoft Azure product suites
- A Plus if programming languages/scripting in HTML, CSS, C#, Json and PowerShell
- Knowledge of computer hardware and assembly
- Team also supports event registration and audio/visual
