The Launch Systems Division (LSD) helps our customers develop launch vehicles and innovative solutions in support of military, human space flight, and commercial applications by collaborating with organizations such as the United States Space Force, NASA, DARPA, OSL, and FAA. Our people provide customers timely, beneficial, decision quality information and analyses to solve technical and programmatic issues to outpace the threat.
We are seeking a well-qualified individual with proven leadership and outstanding communication abilities to be part of a team that provides technical support on all aspects of design and analysis of Blue Origin's New Glenn flight hardware. We are committed to supporting the United States Space Force, Space Systems Command, Assured Access to Space (AATS) Directorate (SSC/AATS). We are the guardian of Assured Access to Space! Our team ensures that the emerging launch vehicles meet National Security Space Launch (NSSL) requirements for Non-Recurring Design Validation (NRDV) and recurring verification. We coordinate and maintain support for the evaluation of launch vehicle design, operational capabilities, and mission assurance processes. Position is considered an on-site position but combination of onsite/telework is acceptable depending on ability to support the Space Force customer's needs.
What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and facilitate collaborative efforts between the Space Force and launch vehicle providers to evaluate their launch vehicle designs, qualification, and operational capability
• Coordinate multi-discipline engineering team efforts to ensure that launch vehicle designs, analysis, testing, and documentation are aligned with Space Force requirements
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to resolve or mitigate risk associated with flight hardware
• Communicate status and progress of technical activities, issues, and accomplishments through reports and briefings to Aerospace, Space Force, NRO/Office of Space Launch (OSL) and contractor teams

What You Need to be Successful - Senior Project Leader
Minimum Requirements:

• Typically, 12+ years of professional growth and related experience including launch or space vehicle hardware
• STEM Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program
• Expertise in either Avionics, Software, or GN&C (strong familiarity with the other two)
• Strong familiarity with launch or space vehicle hardware design, analysis, and testing
• Track record in coordinating or participating in multi-disciplinary technical team efforts
• This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance

How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

• An advanced STEM degree
• Hands-on experience working with launch vehicle or spacecraft hardware
• Familiarity with two other subject areas
• Ability in the design, analysis, and testing of launch vehicle or spacecraft hardware
• Proficient in design, analysis, and testing of launch vehicle systems
• Experience with building launch vehicle or spacecraft systems in model-based environments
• Familiar with NSSL processes, specifications, and standards
• Experience using Python or other programming languages for data review and analysis
• Innovative and futuristic thinking to drive continuous improvement
