Job Description
Studs is an experiential retail and e-commerce brand that has re-imagined the ear piercing experience. Studs’ mission is to empower bold self-expression and inclusive community through earscaping with safe and healthy ear piercings and the best curated destination of earrings.
Based in the New Orleans Magazine Street location, the Studs Key Holder will be at the ground level of building and developing the most unique ear piercing and shopping experience! You are the ultimate ambassador of our brand. Your main objectives will be to provide amazing customer experience and drive sales.Â
Salary: $27/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & People Management
- Serves as a Brand Ambassador by educating clients on Studs’ product and piercing experience
- Lead by example. Maintain an active sales floor presence, support and coach team members in delivering a positive customer-centric environment
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training of all studio employeesÂ
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to employees in order to uphold Studio Policy and staff development
- Assume all Store Manager responsibilities in their absence. Â

OperationsÂ
- Support inventory management such as receiving, transferring orders, cycle counts, and back of house organization
- Action loss prevention measures in order to catch preventable losses
- Manages appointment flow by ensuring that clients are checked in/out properly
- Ensures visual displays are aligned with brand standards to assist in the client’s shopping experience
- Be proactive in creating new organizational structuresÂ
Sales
- Serve as a brand ambassador: educate and delight our customers with the magic of Studs. Deliver an incredible experience that continues beyond the store visit.Â
- Grow and develop our customer base through one-on-one interactions in store and during special events, with a focus on exceptional service.Â
- Confidence with earscaping and suggesting product for client’s needs in order to build the sale in order to hit revenue goals
- Assist monitoring, tracking and communicating trends and opportunities of key business metrics.Â
- Structures the floor to maximize sales and service aptitudeÂ
- Implements recovery methods for addressing poor client experience
Requirements:
- Minimum 30 hours per week; you must be available for at least four shifts per week including two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts of six hours or more
- You have an ability to connect and interact easily with those around you.
- You have a passion for delivering outstanding customer experience.
- You're responsible; you show up on time and ask questions when you're unclear.
- You have experience working independently and a team - you take initiative and are proud of your work.Â
- You have a good eye and great style; you love putting looks together.
- You’re a problem-solver: you have a positive, can-do attitude!
- You have 2+ years of retail experience and you're ready to dive in!
- Passion for earrings, piercing, digital innovation, and community-building is a plus.
