New Product Development Manager

We are currently looking for a New Product Development Manager for Hardgoods . You will work cross functionally to assist with the research and development before being part of the support and advice for successful implementation and launch of new products ranges onto Amazon. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new and unique products in a very quick moving and fast-growing business.

Responsibilities include - but not limited to: 

• Develop exciting products that reflect the brand’s philosophy and positioning
• Research the market for competitors and analyze the need for new products
• In partnership with our Supply Chain and Sourcing teams, Source new products and suppliers, negotiate on prices, and manage critical paths with suppliers/factories when required
• Lead and manage all new product development stage gate timelines within assigned category making sure critical deliverables are met according to stage gate objectives
• Manage and analyze NPD samples, packaging, and accessories from suppliers
• Test product and feedback quality issues to suppliers and wider team to ensure we have the best product possible
• Ensure that product profit margins are always met and maintained throughout the product lifecycle, liaising with teams both internally and externally (supplier relations) to ensure this is met
• Benchmark product against competitors ensuring market leading position and feed into Product development strategy
• Work closely with all other teams in the business to ensure the product life cycle is successfully followed through to launch.
• Manage timeline of Launch of products on Amazon with the help of the Creative team and Brand Managers

A successful team member will have:  

• Experience In NPD role.
• Knowledge of trends
• Knowledge of common manufacturing techniques and their application in production
• An ability to communicate clearly
• Excellent multi-tasker and commerciality, experience with retail,
• A good understanding of timelines, product ranging and consumer types.
• An ability to deliver against set deadlines and budgets as directed
• Enthusiasm and resilience and ability to be autonomous
