What you will do/How you will do it
  • Facilitate routine PLM user management functions among business unit through program support staff with consideration for appropriate access control of proprietary information.
  • Represent business unit PLM needs, generate business requirements and jointly develop / manage enhancement requests.
  • Help validate PLM updates / enhancements against requests.
  • Jointly develop continuous PLM improvement proposals that provide additional business value.
  • Provide data integration solutions support across PLM, ECAD, MCAD and other engineering tools.
  • Automate regular engineering and business processes using Microsoft tool suites. Projects may involve processing data among ERP, PLM, customer order entry and forecasting tools.
  • Design, develop and deploy data integration and productivity tools for business unit. Translate business requirements and specifications into supporting technical design, architecture, system and data models, and application prototypes.
  • Collaborate with business users and cross functional teams to analyze, develop, document, and convert business requirements into system - based solutions focused on the Windchill platform while working with developers to create maintainable solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Develop into a business expert on the PLM tool and how it's used to solve business unit documentation needs and resolve business issues. Provide data and business process support for business unit.
  • Provide for the development and guidance of team members to ensure that technical knowledge is disseminated across the project team and organization. Complement existing PLM tool training information and augment with business process documentation.
  • Provide tools, methods, and analysis to support continuous improvement PLM data quality (enrichment / cleansing) activities.
  • Support design change management business process documentation and best practices among business unit.
  • Collaborate closely with global controls engineering team and advocate for process, data integrity and engineering tool automation.

Required

  • BS degree in Business, BS-Computer Science, BS-Engineering, or equivalent
  • 4 - 6 years - experience
  • Base-level knowledge of databases and Microsoft tool suite is required.
  • Familiarity with Engineering and Manufacturing business processes
  • Proficiency with PLM and ERP systems, such as, Windchill PLM, Symix / SAP ERP
  • Strong data analysis and time management skills. Need ability to plan activities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in cross - functional product change / introduction groups.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work with little supervision.
  • Ability to lead focused projects to meet business needs within a small team environment.
  • Good working knowledge of the PTC software suite and how it integrates with ECAD & MCAD.

Preferred
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and utilize organizational understanding to facilitate decision making and adoption Prior work experience as a Business Analyst, Developer, Systems integrator, Systems Engineer, and/or Solutions Architect
  • Demonstrated capability using a variety of data analysis tools within Microsoft and related tools, such as, Tableau and Cognos
  • Experience within new product introduction, industrialization and / or design commercialization experience.
  • Ability to provide leadership to internal and manage external resources for Engineering/Product Development System administration and support.
