Newscast Director

Job Description

KUTV is looking for a Director for our Newscast.

Responsibilities:

• Perform any production duties as assigned including:
• Use Ross Overdrive automation and iNews production software to direct any assigned newscast and productions
• Fill any production positions including, but not limited to, hand held cameras, robotic cameras, audio, prompter and floor directing
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis during newscast
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Perform other tasks related to the position that may be assigned such as:

• Light sets as required
• Order & Stock Lamps
• Order & Position Rigging Equipment as needed
• Order & Stock Expendables
• Coordinate with Vendors over Lighting System

Requirements:

• Experience Directing and TDing newscasts
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure
• Typing and good spelling skills necessary
• Ability to read and write, college degree preferred
