NewsON Digital Content Creator - Remote

Job Description

NewsOn is looking for an in-house content creator/multimedia journalist. Your responsibilities as a content creator will include producing a daily wrap-up, highlighting the most interesting stories within the NewsOn portfolio of stations, with appropriate links to destination sites. The preferred candidate will be a 360 talent - able to deliver on all aspects of the content including story identification, script development, production, talent responsibilities and editing. You will be expected to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet, social networking sites and mobile phones, in addition to television. Additionally, talent will be expected to engage in discourse, generating a community around the NewsOn brand.

Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of writing, producing, editing and on-camera talent in a professional ecosystem.

• Strong understanding of audience development and producing successful digital/social content.

• Polish and precision in producing professional social content in a quick period of time.

• An active social media presence and content portfolio.

• Proven track record in managing and engaging with digital audiences.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in content creation for professional and/or personal pages.

• Mastery of modern social production techniques using Adobe Creative Cloud including Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition or relevant editing software.

• Degree in Journalism preferred.

• Network broadcasting experience preferred.

• This position is remote capable.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $80,000 to $85,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
