NLP/AI Engineering Intern (Americas Campus - Summer 2024)

• We're looking for talented, hard-working and out-of-the-box thinkers to bring new perspective and fresh ideas to our team. Engineering interns are aligned with specific teams where they'll work alongside our full-time engineers to develop new technologies and brainstorm solutions. During your 12-week internship, you will make a real impact by contributing to a variety of projects, like building new features, testing infrastructure, and/or designing data models.

Our engineers find the right balance between FactSet's flexible environment where everyone can contribute individually, yet at the same time cultivate a community where they can depend on each other for help, learning, and development.

Internship Responsibilities:

• Meet with engineering team to establish and review assigned projects and tasks
• Collaborate with designers, strategists, creative thinkers and technologists to construct solutions to analytics problems
• Follow and implement engineer design guidelines and engineering development processes
• Meet project timeline and deliverables
• Create and maintain documentations as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• Current Junior enrolled in an undergraduate CS program
• We highly value experience in programming with Python or another OOP language
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and in groups
• Ability to prioritize and set goals on shifting priorities
• FactSet's Internship programs are not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of modern web technologies like JavaScript, Typescript, Vue, HTML5/CSS3, etc.
• Experience with machine learning toolkits such as PyTorch and/or Tensorflow
• Must continually strive to acquire new skills in relevant technology and business areas
• Experience working with NLP and machine learning technologies

The budgeted amount for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $34 an hour.
