The NM Fab11X Team is looking for Shift Group Leaders in key functional areas. This person will work a compressed work week schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts (Shift 5 Front-end Days or Shift 7 Back-end Days) and will be responsible for leading a team of approximately 18-20 Manufacturing Technicians and is accountable for the performance of the Compressed Work Week module teams (as measured against Factory safety, quality, output, people, culture, and cost goals).
The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for overall safety of personnel, company assets, and the surrounding environment.
- Responsible for the appropriate training, mentoring, coaching, and performance management of the Manufacturing Technicians in a manner which enables NMDM to meet critical goals.
- Establish a strong and collaborative relationship with other Shift Group Leaders, Module (Engineering) Group Leaders Engineering Group Leaders and Area support teams.
- Drive operational expertise and excellence across all modules/shifts of the organization with strict adherence to Factory/Department standards.
- May be required to certify and be part of the Shift Safety team Incident Command Structure (ICS).
- Assign personnel to maintenance tasks and monitors the progress of work in process.
- Establish and ensure maintenance policies and procedures are followed.
- Set priorities for the team, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
- Assesses personnel staffing and maintenance plans to accommodate production schedules with minimal impact.
- Coordinate multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, establishing strategic toolset plans, including training capability to ensure production schedules are met within established time, quality, and cost objectives.
- Use business acumen and judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.
- Drive Module and Department level improvement and other programs. Participate in Factory level initiatives.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/higher degree (Technical/Engineering/Operations Management) OR 5+ years of semiconductor experience with an Associate Degree or equivalent Military Education.
- 2+ years previous leadership AND/OR management experience required.
- This position does not include Intel provided immigration support
Candidate must be willing to:
- Work in a clean room environment, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves and spend time in the factory daily during your shift.
- Work a compressed work week schedule. The schedule will consist of three twelve-hour days in week 1 then four twelve-hour days in week 2.
- Managers are expected to work additional hours as necessary to meet the business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a semiconductor industry related environment.
- Understanding of semiconductor process flow technology and theory of constraint management.
- Experience with manufacturing supervisory and/or management experience in a High-Volume Manufacturing or Technology Development environment.
- Formal management experience in the Films Area
- Strong technical/ engineering background.
