Job Description:
NM DMO is looking for integration and defect reduction engineers to support Foveros, EMIB, and Fab 9 yield. In either of these roles, you will partner with all areas of yield including integration, defect reduction, QNR, and Yield analysis. You will be responsible for taking products at various points in the product development cycle (PRE PRQ to product certification) and ensuring they are ready for ramp into high volume manufacturing while simultaneously improving and optimizing the process to meet yield, cost, reliability, and manufacturability goals.
The NM DMO Yield team is looking for an experienced engineer with strong leadership, advanced problem-solving skills, and strong data analysis skills.
The individual should have the ability to lead factory teams in order to develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, experiment design, industry literature, and problem-solving tools. The following skills are needed to be successful in this role:
- In depth understanding of process flow.
- Creative mindset resulting in the ability to propose novel defect formation mechanisms.
- Developing and leveraging inline detection to identify rogue tools, integrated defect issues, and predict end of line yield impacts.
- Utilizing strong analytical skillset to search for meaningful correlations among suspect operations.
- Creating custom metrics for solving new problems and testing them against data models.
- Developing roadmaps to drive defect/yield/efficiency/cost improvements based on both known impact and program risk factors.
- Reducing variability in monitors and tools.
- Developing and driving automated metrics where possible to improve total throughput time and response accuracy.
- Implementing process control monitoring strategies to detect out of control events which require intervention.
- Creating strong responses to quality events to allow 24/7 disposition during preliminary, ramp, and high-volume stages of product lifecycle.
- Monitoring and optimizing all defect scans and inline monitors to deliver a monitoring strategy to HVM which has maximum detection with minimal sampling and reduced work content.
Full time onsite required during training, estimated 6 months but is toolset dependent.
After training: hybrid "work from home" to be defined by manager and employee but continued onsite will be required. Full time remote is not an option.
