NodeJS Developer

Job Description

About You 
We’re looking for NodeJS developer to create highly scalable backend applications. Collaborate with frontend, designers and product owners to identify product requirements and design backend solutions that meet business needs.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional Node.js development experience and 10+ years building web applications.
• Familiarity with AWS Amplify and experience in building cloud-native applications.
• Foundational knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps workflows, with experience in tools like AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, or CloudFormation.
• Experience with REST APIs and a proven ability to design scalable, secure endpoints.
• Expertise in relational/SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and
  NoSQL/document databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Strong technical experience in Microservices. 
• A deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, including asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and performance optimization.
• Strong proficiency in modern web development fundamentals: HTML, JavaScript, HTTP/S, client/server architecture, and security paradigms.
• Experience with stream processing or messaging platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Amazon SQS/SNS.
• Outstanding skills at interacting with people, both within the organization (from developers to senior management) and with customers/partners. 
• Responsible, organized, and hardworking with excellent communication skills.
• English is a requirement, as you will be working directly with US-based clients 

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Node.js and supporting technologies.
• Build, optimize, and scale APIs to power the core functionalities platforms, including integrations with AWS Amplify, CRM systems, and other third-party services.
• Collaborate with the product team to define, plan, and implement new features that enhance the customer experience.
• Optimize existing systems for scalability, reliability, and performance to support growing user demand.
• Contribute to and expand our engineering processes, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and documentation standards.
