What You'll Be Doing in the role of Recruiter

Makes recommendations to ensure a creative and proactive recruiting strategy. Works closely with all levels of management to understand position requirements and staffing needs to target recruitment efforts.

Researches and investigates alternative recruitment sources such as on-line recruiting, job fairs, print media, social platforms, college recruitment and Komen website recruiting to source a diverse candidate pool. Networks with professional and virtual groups to source new candidates or referrals. Determines and selects appropriate alternatives to meet individual recruitment goals.

Provides recommendations on where to allocate recruitment budget according to most efficient use of budgeted funds. Conceptualizes, writes, and submits recruitment ads in selected publications, posts on-line ads, as appropriate.

Formulates screening criteria and compares resumes and candidates against management requirements. Conducts job interviews within legal parameters using proper techniques and guidelines. Determines relativity of candidate skills and experience, rejects or selects candidates, and refers top talent to hiring managers.

Promotes equal employment opportunity and diversity recruitment efforts by analyzing results of outreach efforts and targets recruitment campaigns based upon those results. Analyzes cost vs. effectiveness of recruitment activities, related applicant flow results, and outcomes of various job postings.

Leads the scheduling of candidate interviews within the organization. Oversees and interprets candidate testing if needed. Formulates content for questioning and conducts employment references investigations to determine viability of candidates.

Enforces appropriate status updates for all candidates being considered within the Human Capital Management tool for Komen in a timely and accurate manner.

Submits applicable background check requests to the organizations approved Third Party Vendor. Reviews employment verification, education verification, and background check results to ensure compliance with organization's hiring guidelines.

Collaborates with management team to develop offers of employment and extends verbal offers. Oversees preparation of written offers of employment and follows-up to acceptance or closure. Ensures that salary administration guidelines are followed to maintain internal equity.

Maintains various recruiting status reports and recruitment files.

Participate in special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent, and identifying new recruitment resources.

Possess strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.

Ability to communicate all of Komen's compensation elements, benefits, and equity to candidates, as well as position the comprehensive compensation and opportunity offered effectively against competing offers.

Ability to work independently with excellent time management, prioritization and judgment skills with a positive attitude, high energy, and focused attention to detail.

Ability to communicate effectively in writing to include business correspondence and internet communications.

Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring to the Table

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of direct recruiting experience. A broad recruiting knowledge is required with evidence of equal comfort recruiting candidates from entry level through management. Prior experience must include technical recruitment and corporate recruiting vs. agency recruiting.

Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to collaborate with others to achieve desired results is required. The candidate must have demonstrated success building strong relationships with co-workers and management staff. Experience managing high-volume recruiting using a variety of sourcing techniques including digital/internet resources is necessary along with knowledge of employment laws relative to hiring and selection.

Must have GREAT attitude, sense of humor, and ability to shift priorities with little to no notice.

Preferred experience that will get you noticed first:

Good working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now recruiting module and Microsoft Office products preferred.

Previous not-for-profit and/or technical recruitment experience.

Previous full-cycle recruiter.

Previous experience with LinkedIn or similar platforms.

Position Qualifications:

Work Experience: 2 - 5 years

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Strong phone etiquette with a positive and upbeat approach.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple requisitions for full-cycle recruitment.

Strong attention to detail.

Experience sourcing and recruiting for niche and unique positions.

Strong understanding of multi-state compliance regulations pertaining to recruitment and hiring.

Ability to travel at least 1-2 times a year to a department conference, less than 5%.
