THE CHALLENGE:
The North American Benefits Analyst position is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, dynamic team at a highly successful, forward-thinking video game company. The North American Benefits Analyst is responsible for the day-to-day operations for Canadian and US benefit plans. This role is integral to ensuring that the company’s benefit plans are running smoothly and includes interaction with employees and HR Partner inquiries. High-touch customer service is a critical success factor.Â
WHAT YOU’LL TAKE ON:
- Handle the day-to-day administration and analysis of the Company's Canadian and US benefit plans and programs, including medical, dental, vision, EAP, HSA, FSA, commuter benefits, life/AD&D, disability, group legal, back-up childcare, fitness reimbursement, 401(k), RRSP and DPSP.
- Responsible for benefits email inbox. Respond quickly, accurately, and thoroughly to employees’, HR Partners’, and vendors’ questions, correspondence, and complaints; resolve problems, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements.Â
- Conduct new hire benefits orientations.
- Process employee benefits events in HRIS and vendor systems and maintain benefits data in HRIS and vendor systemsÂ
- Interpret benefit plan provisions, policies, and procedures.
- Work with vendors and HRIS to ensure accuracy in transmission of eligibility and enrollment files
- Conduct reconciliations and audits.
- Make sure all benefits communications on intranet are up to date.
- Coordinate webinars for employees hosted by supplemental health and welfare and/or retirement plan vendors.
- Review presentation materials and give feedback to vendors.
Provide administrative support to Benefits team.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 4 years of benefits administration experience at mid-sized or large companies.
- Knowledge of US and Canadian federal, state and provincial regulations that govern employee benefit plans, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125, and DOL requirements.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Â
- Experience with benefits enrollment/administration systems and HRIS is required.
- Experience with Workday is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally, with strong client focus.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
Self-starter. - Proven ability to stay organized, set priorities, learn quickly, and inspire confidence.
- Ability to complete multiple projects within established deadlines and work well under pressure.Â
- Work well in a team environment.Â
Please note this is a full time, 12-month contract position, with an opportunity of an extension.
