Location: Bossier Family Medicine

Position: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

First Care Bossier is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our clinical team at our urgent care center in Bossier City. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing and treating patients of all ages for various acute conditions. You will work collaboratively with our physicians and staff to ensure excellent care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments, obtain medical histories and order/interpret diagnostic tests
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries like flu, strep throat, lacerations, sprains/strains, etc.
• Prescribe medications as appropriate
• Provide patient education and instructions for treatment plans
• Ensure comprehensive documentation in electronic medical records
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside physicians, medical assistants and office staff

Qualifications:

• Current license to practice as a NP or PA in Louisiana
• Knowledge of assessing, diagnosing and treating acute conditions across all ages
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong clinical and decision-making abilities
