New Product Development Engineer Manager
Lead a results-oriented systems integration engineering team responsible for integrating new products into production. Manage the full autonomy and development of team members. Coordinate career and professional development opportunities tailored to the needs and motivations of team members. Lead individual training plans, the performance management program, employee/team recognition, and eliminate blockers impeding progress. Develop, recommend, and implement systems engineering integration strategies, roadmap, and priorities and manage relationships with internal partners collaborating with the system integration team. Recruit, retain, develop, and maintain a robust pipeline of internal and external talent for proficiency building and succession planning. Forecast, budget, and manage the department budget and the system integrator supply and demand resource forecast model. Analyze organization performance to identify improvement opportunities and deliver sustaining solutions. Prioritize the improvement of systems engineering processes, procedures, policies, and tools. Partner with internal systems engineering subsystem leaders to assure predictable, outstanding systems engineering performance across product plans, while meeting or exceeding schedule and budget expectations. Build and maintain systems engineering organizational capabilities required to deliver the product portfolio while chipping into the strategic direction of systems engineering. Serve as a role model and champion for new product development, systems engineering integration, quality, and regulatory initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a closely related engineering field or its foreign equivalent.
Five (5) years of progressive experience in engineering leadership, engineering functional management, project or program management, or technical leadership.
Additional experience must include:
- Experience with the full lifecycle product development of consumer product goods.
- Design control and quality system requirements.
- Serving in a system engineering practitioner role with experience with system engineer (SE) tools, techniques, and standard methodologies.
- Coaching, developing, and mentoring junior and senior level technical talent.
- SAP, Minitab, Smartsheet, Budgeting, Project Management, Validation and Testing, and Six Sigma problem solving.
May telecommute one (1) day per week.
10% domestic and international travel required.
Salary Range: $136,000-$159,000
Must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
