NPD Process Improvement Manager

Your mission
As the NPD Process Improvement Manager, you will have the task of standardising and enhancing processes throughout BDR Thermea Group. Your main responsibilities include defining, communicating, training, and auditing the use of standards related to New Product Development (NPD), Product Change Management (PCM), and other processes such as the Product Roadmap. You will uncover and implement improvements in product- or system development to optimise time-to-market, quality, and costs.
What you'll do:
You work within the Quality group and you collaborate with your colleagues in the Business Development Units and the manufacturing locations on a daily basis.
In your role as an NPD Process Improvement Manager, you are central to achieving meaningful improvements. You have the responsibility to create and apply the ongoing improvement strategy in our organisation. This involves turning theoretical ideas into practical and measurable outcomes. You work across a variety of stakeholders in different functions like R&D, Procurement, Finance and Operations at various organisational levels.
- On a daily basis you’ll be responsible for, but not limited to :
- Set clear standards for Group processes by including work instructions, templates, and best practices. These should be aligned with the New Product Development plan.
- Work together with internal stakeholders to carry out the New Product Development strategy. Implement the related action plans effectively.
- Keep an eye on how operating companies and Business Development Units are performing in relation to the New Product Development plan. Ensure this aligns with the Group strategy and processes.
- ​Conduct audits, report results, and assess findings to improve quality, safety, and sustainability processes. This will help reduce costs and optimize time.

You have an entrepreneurial mindset and a hands-on, pragmatic approach to problem-solving. With your technical background and analytical view, you are able to turn complex technical information into simple, convincing messages. Therefore, you possess a high-level understanding of Procurement, Product Management, and R&D disciplines. You are culturally savvy with great networking skills.
Furthermore, you possess:
- A completed technical education (e.g., master’s in engineering);
- 8+ years in product/process development;
- Continuous improvement experience;
- Knowledge of the NPD process is a plus;
- Project Management skills (e.g., Prince2, Lean Six Sigma);
- Experience with eLearning tools like Talentsoft;
- Excellent command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
