Cardiac Surgery APC Opportunity

The comprehensive heart surgery program at Bon Secours is seeking a talented Advanced Practice Clinician ( APC ) to join their team at St. Mary's and Memorial Regional Hospital. Our APCs work in conjunction with Cardiac Surgeons in the care of heart surgery patients, which includes CABG, Valve repair/replacements, Impella devices, IABPs and ECMO.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Cardiac Surgery APC include but are not limited to:

• Assessment and management of daily care of inpatients (From ICU to stepdown) including rounds, assessment, progress notes and placing orders.
• Daily participation and management with multidisciplinary services that support service line.
• Performing admissions, consults & discharges for service line.
• Removal of devices including chest tubes, epicardial pacing wires, IABPs. Responsible for post op follow up visits and surgical consults in office setting.

The Heart Surgery program is a busy and established practice currently performing 750-800 cases per year. Patients have access to the most advanced technology and techniques while being treated in a compassionate and healing environment.
