Nurse Practitioner | Physician Assistant / Gastroenterology

Mercy Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) to join our dynamic gastroenterology team. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to make a significant impact in patient care within our hospitalist setting, covering either St. Vincent or St. Charles/Perrysburg services (coverage may vary week to week).

Position Overview:

• Role: Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) for Gastroenterology Service
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 7 on/7 off rotation
• Locations: St. Vincent or St. Charles/Perrysburg services, with potential variation each week
• Primary Responsibilities:
• Hospital consults and rounding
• Providing consults and discharges
• Arranging for endoscopy services in collaboration with the surgery department
• Following up on labs, imaging, and patient care plans
• Prioritizing patient cases based on severity and required procedures
• Reviewing patient lists, labs, and imaging at the start of each day at 7:00 AM
• Rounding with physicians as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with gastroenterology is preferred, but not required
• Strong clinical skills in hospital-based care and consultative roles
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
