The Department of Surgery of District Medical Group Inc. (DMG), a multi-specialty medical group exclusively contracted to provide patient care and teaching for the Valleywise Health Care System, is actively seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to support our surgical subspecialties services in the clinical setting.

NP Essential Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and history and physical examinations of patients in the Department of Surgery outpatient settings
• Enter patient orders
• Review and discuss results of medical imaging and laboratory studies with attending physician, hospital staff, resident(s), and/or patients as appropriate

Candidate(s) must have an Arizona medical license, strong interpersonal skills, and an outstanding work ethic.  Previous clinical experience and Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred.

The position would include employment through District Medical Group Inc. (DMG), a not-for-profit multi-specialty group with 450 + providers exclusively contracted to provide patient care and teaching at Valleywise Health (VWH).   VWH is a state designated Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center (Adult and Pediatrics) teaching and community hospital.
